The restoration of an architectural structure seeks to reintegrate a lost order, an era, or a bygone typology.
Uniqueness and unity are the two concepts that permeate restoration: on the one hand, the originality of the authentic, and on the other, the attempt to unite the multiplicity and complexity of the current state, into which the new must be integrated, through forms and materials.
In recovering the existing and using it for new purposes, one does not simply introduce something new and foreign, but also interpenetrates and interweaves new forms, spaces, and materials with those already existing.
The project in question is characterized by a certain complexity in the areas of carpentry and
window and door manufacturing, in addition to the functional adaptation of the technological systems, which were the subject of a
redevelopment within a study for a significant improvement contained in the design proposal.
