Project Info
The planned project consists of the renovation of the existing elevator, the adaptation of the second section of the existing tunnel by widening it, the construction of a new section of tunnel, the construction of a vertical shaft to house two elevators, one for operations and one primarily for emergency use, the installation of vertical connection systems between the lower tunnel and Via delle Rose, and the installation of moving walkways for horizontal transfers on both sections of the tunnel.
The primary objective of the planned interventions was to ensure service safety and efficiency for users.
During the implementation of the interventions, the affected areas, which to date have been affected by unfinished partial works, were remediated.
The choice of intervention type prioritizes the stability of the structures and prudently addresses geotechnical issues, with the possibility of further improvement in the subsequent final design phase. The executive design phase was also designed to achieve the best safety conditions for both the area and the planned systems.
